I'm not sure I understand your question fully, but normally daemon.raw is the 
output file from nsrd and other daemons. It exists on all types of NetWorker 
hosts.

See the man page for nsrd for example.

I'm under the impression that daemon.raw exists only on Storage Nodes and 
Backup Servers but not on the clients. Is there any way to find out why 
daemon.raw file is appearing on backup clients as well?
