We just use the Networker NMC gui, most of the time.   You can cut and paste, 
directly into Excel (or other software).   

That just lists the tapes, not the contents.  Are you also looking for what is 
on each tape?   

Mminfo can be used to list tapes, and it can also be used to list the contents 
of each tape.
