Yes, I think that's it. That's a bit confusing, too - so the backup was 
created from a client running 8.x client software, but the recovery is to 
a client running 7.x?

Or does it mean that I can only do a directed recover from a client 
running the same version as the target system? Or a server running 8.x can 
do a directed recover to a 7.x client, but not 8.x client can do the same 
thing?
