In fact i dare to understand what you want ...

1. Rebuilding the old resources on the same machine
       Not an issue to recover only the resources from the boostrap.
       However, you will need to restart the services after moving the resource 
files because you did not use nsradmin.

2. Merging the clients from another server to add them to the 'new' data zone 
which already has other resources
       In fact you have to use nsradmin and pipe in the export file. 

BTW - you will only see duplicates if the resource ID (which are used as 
resoruce filenames are different)
