Yeah, the retention for the savesets on disk pretty much depends on how much 
disk space you're willing to use.

I would leave the data on disk for at least a reasonable timeframe like 1 month 
... if space allows that.
Do not forget that a fast backup media for the restore of recent backups is 
very beneficial.
