Check the logs on the clients that are failing, both the client's own messages
and the /nsr/logs/daemon.raw files. Also check the nsr/logs/daemon.raw file on
your NetWorker server for the times when the backups fail. If there are still
save sessions running on the failed clients, it usually is a sign that the
system had problems accessing its storage. In the situation you mentioned,
check the status of the server's /var volume. Can you log into the server who's
backup failed and then touch a file on /var? If /var lives on a SAN, check your
SAN fabric too.
