So Tech Support called me, pretty close to within the time window, which
is good. I ended up have a corrupt resdb, among a few other things, so we
did a modified mmrecov (modified means we did a mmrecov, but kept the old
"mmvolume6" folder, since my media history was fine). It took a while, but
I am back up and runing.

The bug about the log file growing hugely was fixed in 7.6.3 and later,
altho there are environmental variables you can set to control the log
growth.

Next week is my scheduled cross-platform migration from 32bit to 64bit,
albeit on the same version. THAT should be fun ....

Now off to enjoy what is left of my weekend.
