It seems to make sense to do that, I just didn't know whether or not that would 
hurt dedupe ratios or slow things down. :)

Although we do not use DD Boost devices, we have implemented exactly such 
scenario where we have setup dedundant data paths.

Of course, this should also be possible with DDBoost devices.
