Hi Justin,

I gather that you are browsing the daemon.raw file .... you can use the command
nsr_render_log command to render the log and it will read a lot easier ....

What the message is saying (and it will make more sense after you run it
through nsr_render_log) is that the peer information on a client doesn't match
what the backup server thinks the peer information should be, normally you get
this kind of message after upgrading a networker client, or if the /nsr/res
folder has been deleted for a client .... you can delete the peer information
for a client by using the nsradmin command, it will automatically get
re-created the next time networker "talks" to the client.

NOTE: using nsradmin can dangerous to the health of your NetWorker server, if
you are unsure of what you are doing, you should contact support, and always
make sure you have a backup of your server, bootstrap and a printout of you
most recent bootstrap report.

bash-3.2# nsradmin -p nsrexecd
NetWorker administration program.
Use the "help" command for help, "visual" for full-screen mode.
nsradmin> . type: NSR peer information;name:client_name

nsradmin> print
                        type: NSR peer information;
               administrator: "isroot,host=server",
                              "user=root,host=server",
                              "user=root,host=localhost";
                        name: client_name;
               peer hostname: client_name;

nsradmin> delete
                        type: NSR peer information;
               administrator: "isroot,host=server",
                              "user=root,host=server",
                              "user=root,host=localhost";
                        name: client_name;
               peer hostname: client_name;
          Change certificate: ;

                        name: client_name;

You can enable networker to automatically render the daemon.log file, buy again
using nsradmin (see the example below) .... I run networker on solaris so the
file path (/nsr/logs/daemon.log) would be different if you were running it on
windows

You will need to stop and restart networker after running this command, to make
it come into effect

hope that this helps

In the process of migrating to NetWorker 8011 and I have several clients that
are randomly crashing. I find the below messages in the logs on the Networker
server. Anyone ever seen this? I'm not sure what %s is. I've replace the
server and client name in the below message.
