Hi ,

nsrexecd is running, but is it accessible ?

Try (from your NW server) :  nsradmin -s <client> -p 390113

to see if you have connection, if yes, use "q" to quit.

You can try to run a savegrp with debugging :

Try (from your NW server) :  savegrp -pvn -D 5 -c <client>  <group>

If necessary redirect the output to a file with " >outputfile 2>&1" at the
end of your command.

Best regards,
Jacques Lapeire

Subject: [Networker] Backup problem

Hi all,

After windows update packages followed by a reboot the backup of one of my
clients stopped working. This happened last weekend.

Backup server - Windows 2008 - 7.5.4
Client - Windows 2008R2 - 7.6.3

Error:

Savegroup starts but the backup does not begin

Msg error:

savegrp: <clientname>:H:\ save was never started
* Probe job had unrecoverable failure(s), this job is being abandoned.

Firewall is OK;
Forward and reverse lookup is OK;
Rpcinfo -p is OK.
Nsrexec is running.

Important: manual backup started from the client works fine.

Any help will be very appreciated.

Tks in advance.
