You could use Thierry Faidherbe's Networker Reporting Utility...I lost the link 
for downloading it, but it is free of charge and works very well.  

Someone on this list should have the link for it though...

Is your employer willing to invest some money for a solution? If so, EMC's Data 
Protection Advisor would be helpful in your situation.
