Assuming that the output should show up in a set of 2 lines for each client 
like:

    nsrck: checking index for 'CLIENTNAME' 
    nsrck: D:\nsr\index\clientname contains xxx records occupying yyy KB


So if the client name is o.k., it should have the corresponding index 
directory. This is not always the case.

If the client name does not exist, it could be a defective resource file or a 
defective media db.


No idea yet about the origin of the problem but i would 
  - stop the NW services
  - run a file system check
  - restart the NW services 
and see what NW would report itself.
