We have so many drives, we have to connect them via switches. It works fine,
but like others have said, you do have the occasional "blip", and have to reset
a drive. Our library has a web interface, so we can connect to that web
interface, and just reset that one drive having the problem. Rebooting the
entire library also works, as does a power cycle of the drive.

Subject: [Networker] Fibre attached drive question

Hi Guys

How are people connecting their fibre attached drives, directly to the hba's on
the host or via fibre switches?

Seems to be either way is acceptable, just looking for real life experience!
Host will have dual 8Gig connect to the san fibre as well as two other dual
hbas that could be used to directly connect the drives.

Thanks

Andy
