Sorry if this sounds obvious, but your best option is to put the NMC server on 
the same side of the firewall as your NetWorker server unless your firewall can 
be configured to never drop the port connections it needs. I do not know of 
anything like NSR_KEEPALIVE_WAIT for NMC.
