I was wondering the same thing.  Can you also upgrade from 7.6.1 to 8.x without 
uninstalling first?  Per the release notes of 8.0.1, our AIX hosts meet all of 
the pre-requisites for using a version 8.x client.  Thanks.

I have 8.0.0.1 installed on the AIX box now. I haven't started it up yet as I 
have downloaded the 8.x HotFix.
There's not a readme with the hotfix.

Anybody know if I have to uninstall 8.0.0.1 and then install the hotfix?
