Hello,
We're trying to backup a NAS (EMC VNX 5300) through a Linux Client
(OpenSuse 12.1 x64 with Networker client nsr-7.6.3.3-1) to a Windows
Server 2008 x64 with the same Networker version.
This is partition mounted from the NAS:
# df | grep /data
nas_server:/data 206515200 90912384 115602816 45% /data
If we mount the partition from the NAS using NFS3 the backup finishes in
3 hours more or less writing 42GB in the tape:
NAS_SERVER:/data/ on /data type nfs
(rw,relatime,vers=3,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,
namlen=255,hard,proto=tcp,timeo=600,
retrans=2,sec=sys,mountaddr=N.N.N.N,
mountvers=3,mountport=1234,mountproto=udp,
local_lock=none,addr=N.N.N.N)
If we mount the partition from the NAS using NFS4 the backup we need to
stop the backup because is slooow (for example, an 8 hours backup
aborted with only 20GB writed to the tape).

Do you know if this is right behaviour of NFS4 or can we tune it (in the
client or in the NAS) so Legato can read faster. In all 2 tests we're
performing a full backup.
Any idea would be very appreciated.
