[Networker] Minimum hardware and VCB Licensing question

Just starting to investigate using VCB with Networker. We are currently running 7.4.2 and would like to upgrade to 7.6.1 first. A few questions if you don't mind:
1. The minimum hardware requirements for 7.4.2 and 7.6.1 are the same (linux version) - dual core processor. We aren't running 7.4.2 on a dual core and are wondering if we could run 7.6.1 on this box.
2. If we use VCB with 7.4.2, do we need a license for EACH VM we want to back up, or just the VCB? How about for 7.6.1?
3. I also know that VCB will be not needed for 7.6.2 - should we just wait for that?
