If I understand what you're trying to do correctly, I think you also
have to stop NetWorker, go into the /nsr/index directory and change the
name of the client's subdirectory from the old name to the new.

Subject: Using the same client ID to retain history
I have a storage node; it's a Lotus Notes server. This past weekend, we
created a new server, different name, same IP address, to take it's
place.
If I make note of the clientID of the storage node; delete the client
entry; create a new client entry, with the new name but the same
clientID
as previously; I should be able tp retain all the job history of this
storage node, yes? But it will appear under- the new name, correct?
Since
NW really only cares about clientID and not name, if I needed to do a
recover, in the GUI recover, I would choose the new name, and see the
last
3 years of history, even when it's DNS name was different than it is
now.
I am understanding this process correctly?
