I don't see the location of the *available* backup tapes on your mminfo 
output...?

Besides, if as you say...
 "The location of the clone tape was set manually, but the others were 
simply cleared by Networker when they were removed from the library 
(replaced by blank tapes) and the library inventoried."
... then the backup tapes are not available anymore, or are they?
