        Here are the answers to your questions,


I Can I do exam 20-597 without any pre req exams ?
        No, you have to finish the EMCISA (Formerly known as Storage
Technology Foundation) first which is a asosiate level certification
only then you can go ahead for the specialist certification.

II How many questions on the exam ?
        I guess its 80. Don't remember it was a long time back. :)

III passing score ?
        68%
IV Are there any other good resources or books to use for the exam ?
        The EMC provided training is good enough, and little hands on
experience on NetWorker would be an added advantage.

V How alike to the exam are the test questions EMC offers (are the
questions comarible to the exam q's ?)
        I would not depend on the mock exams that emc has on their
education site. I hardly found any relevance.

VI Are there any parts that should get special attention when preparing
for the exam (MS tends to also use the resource kits in theiir exams
f.i.)
        Hmmm... Nothing That I know of.

VII How far do I need to know the commandline guide by heart ?
        Not everything, just the basic commands that are used for day to
day activities.
