Re: [Networker] How are groups being used ?

We basically have 4 groups, one for regular backups (weekly fulls and daily
incrementals), one for Exchange backups (weekly fulls and daily incrementals)
and two for what we call Month End backups that are archived (monthly fulls).
The Month End backups are split between systems that have software such as
Exchange, SQL Server and Oracle that we shut down and backup cold for the
backup and systems that don't have those sorts of applications.
We only have 18 systems that we back up, all Windows except for 1 Sun/Solaris
system.
I also create a group for each individual system that is backed up so I can
make the occasional special backup of that system but they only get run
manually so I don't really count them in the group count.

All,
Hello. I am curious how all of you are using groups in NetWorker ? Do you
group backups by type: (Filesystem, Oracle, SQL etc.) or do you use other
criteria ? You can respond to me using networker_usability AT emc DOT com or
here
in the listserv.
Thanks,
