It's been quite a long time since NetWorker demultiplexed clones. It's "assumed
knowledge" that frequently trips up long-term NetWorker users when we've come
from long enough ago that it used to do it...
It will only do so if the saveset(s) you have elected to clone just simply
aren't multiplexed together. (E.g., when cloning ADV_FILE -> tape, or a single
saveset at a time.)
This has been documented in various tests, discussions on this list and
PowerLink solutions (e.g.,
https://solutions.emc.com/emcsolutionview.asp?id=esg58935) and Curtis did a set
of confirmation tests & blogged about it in 2008
