Re: [Networker] NSR info(Clients, Groups, Directives, Schedules) location?

In regard to: [Networker] NSR info(Clients, Groups, Directives, Schedules)...:
When I login NMC(Networker Management Console), I can see a lot of
configuration information, but where are they exactly located?
1. Under "Configuration" tab/view, there are:
Clients, Directives, Groups, Local HOsts, Notifications, Registrations,
Schedules, etc...
Are they all in "resource files", under "/nsr/res"?
In general, I think that's true, yes. Pretty much everything you list
would be a resource, which means it's going to be under /nsr/res.
2. Under "Devices" tab/view, there are:
Libraries, Devices and Storage Nodes, are they all in "media database",
under "/nsr/mm" folder?
No. Libraries, devices, and storage nodes will also be resources, so they
will be stored in resource files under /nsr/res.
/nsr/mm is indeed the media database. The media database stores
information about volumes and some (but not all) information about savesets.
3. Under "Media" tab/view, there are:
Media Pool and Volumes, are they also in "media database", under
"/nsr/mm" folder?
A Media Pool is a resource, so it's under /nsr/res.
Volumes are tracked in the media database, so /nsr/mm.
4. Under "Media" tab/view, there are:
Indexes and Save Sets, are they from "index", under "/nsr/index" folder?
Sort of. The GUI is kind of presenting you with a "merged" view. It's
hiding the distinction between what's in the media database and what's in
the client indexes.
General information about savesets (things like savetime, number of files
in the saveset, the volume(s) that contain the saveset and the location on
the volume(s) etc.) is stored in the media database.
The actual contents of any particular saveset (what files are included in
a particular saveset) is stored in the client index for the client in
question.
