[Networker] Upgrading from 7.4.5 to 7.52
2010-03-26 07:03:39
I just upgraded my nsrserver and clone second storage node from RHEL 4.6 64bit
7.3.4 to RHEL 5.4 64bit 7.5.2. Temp enabler was installed automatically. Of
course I have to get the permanent one before it expires.
Only one hiccup, I installed the OS with hostname as fully qualified (default
with NIS which we use) rather than the old install which was just the hostname
without domain. Not sure if it mattered, but noticed the diff and changed it on
OS and reinstalled 7.5.2.
So far, so good as far as the upgrade. All the indexes, configs, and volumes
info are ok and I've given up the thought of having to go back (but I covered
myself with /nsr backups which I *did* have to use).
