[Networker] Question about a device icon under nmc?

What does the little horizontal green icon (4 bars) over a device meanunder the NMC gui?

I see this sometimes when the drive is writing, but not always. It goesoff for a while and then comes back on. Seems kind of random. Is thissome kind of speed threshold monitor?
