There is a command to set tape uses
As far as I know best practise is to let your tapelib handle cleaning

I always used to let my library handle cleaning, so I never had to reserve
cleaning slot, or schedule cleaning jobs using Networker, etc. But since I
upgraded my SDLT600 library to LTO4, I decided to use Networker to handle
cleaning. So I set the last 5 slots to be cleaning slots, and adjusted the
number of available slots and cleaning slots in the Networker definition
of the library accordingly. Then I loaded up 5 new, unused cleaning tapes
into the slots.

Networker sees the 5 cleaning tapes in the right slots, but says each is a
"Cleaning Tape (0 uses left)". Why does it think there are 0 uses left?
>From looking through the Admin guide, it does not appear that I need to
set tape to the number of uses left.

What am I missing here?
