[Networker] nsrclone -w flag question
2009-10-15 09:59:27
Folks,
I have a customer who had originally requested that the backups from their systems be
browseable/retained for three months and that their monthly full be cloned to off-site storage
and retained for a year. Today, they have modified their request to be that they want to be
able to browse the data that has been cloned and sent off-site for the year that it is retained.
The process I have been using has been to set the browse and retention times to three months
for their clients and when performing the clone, I specify the -y flag to retain the data for a
year. It appears that by using the -w flag on the nsrclone command, that I can also specify
that these save sets should be able to be browsed for that year as well. Has anyone done that?
Can you confirm that my understanding of the nsrclone manual page is correct?
Thanks,
