No, the debug log shows out of file descriptors (even though I had increased it 
to 4096).

I've seen three savegrp cores on Linux 64-bit since installing 7.4.5 on August 
30.  So far, EMC 
has not been able to provide me any relief (no big surprise there, I've only 
had the issue open 
since September 14.  <sarcasm>I'm told there's a fix for Solaris, but EMC has 
been unable to 
compile it on Linux for these past two weeks</sarcasm>.

Thanks for the LGT number.  Do your backtraces show savegrp blows up in strlen 
having walked 
off the end of allocated memory?
