Hi,
We'd like to install the latest "stable" version of NetWorker Network
Edition for RHEL on a new Linux server and storage node. We have the new
equipment all set and ready to go. These machines have never run NW
before so this will be a fresh install. We're migrating from an old
release (running on Solaris), and I have some questions below.
This past May, I migrated from Solaris 9 to RHEL 5.3 64-bit. I did it with the help of
Cambridge Computing. We essentially performed the DR procedure for the server and then used
nsradmin to find and change the subtle differences in the default configuration of NetWorker
between Solaris and Linux (mostly paths to executables).
Our main difference from the situation you are in was we performed the migration while running
7.4.3 -- so there was no version change.
