Hi Stan

I reckon using the nsavetime of the saveset to specify -t is the most
reliable way to run recover, rather than your 09/21/2009

Subject: [Networker] How to recover using an input file

Greetings everyone;

I have a text file containing a list of 325 files that I want to
recover to a different directly on the same Linux client where the
files were backed up. Each file is preceded by its path. The NetWorker
server and the client are running Red Hat Linux and NetWorker 7.4.4. I
am using last night's full backup, which worked fine. If I log onto
the client and attempt to recover files on an individual basis by
using the interactive recover utility, it works fine, but when I try

recover -s puss.ocis.temple.edu -I
vtltest_20090921_volumes_to_restore.txt -d /disk_vt1/20/stan -t
09/21/2009 -p "My passphrase is what 1t 1s" -a /disk_vt1/10 /
disk_vt1/11 /disk_vt1/12

I get a long stream of notices that each file in my text file isn't in
NetWorker's index. The text file is called
vtltest_20090921_volumes_to_restore.txt and a few sample lines from it
are:

/disk_vt1/10/107007
/disk_vt1/10/107032
/disk_vt1/10/107034
/disk_vt1/10/107062
/disk_vt1/11/110029
/disk_vt1/11/110037
/disk_vt1/11/110043

But when I run the above command, I get the following results:

not in index /disk_vt1/12/127608
not in index /disk_vt1/12/127611
not in index /disk_vt1/12/127617
not in index /disk_vt1/12/127618
not in index /disk_vt1/12/127648

But those files are in the index.

I figure I must be doing something wrong, but what? I have been
pouring over the recover man page to no avail.
