[Networker] replacing a drive in an l8500, nw 7.5.0
2009-09-09 17:27:35
solaris 5.10
networker 7.5.0
l8500 with 3xLTO Ultrium-3, fiber-connected
i had one of the drives in this library go bad. field service
replaced it but networker doesn't want to use it -- i'm getting
the following error logged:
Sep 9 14:10:30 backup01 root: [ID 702911 daemon.notice] NetWorker media:
(alert) device "/dev/rmt/2cbn": serial number mismatch, check system device
ordering. Expected "Serial Numbers:WWNN=50060B0000599F32:
ATNN=HP Ultrium 3-SCSI HU10608MDL:HU10608MDL", found
":WWNN=50060B0000C30CDE:ATNN=HP Ultrium 3-SCSI
MXP0932F8N:MXP0932F8N:WW2N=500104F0008FE017"
how do i tell networker that the drive has changed? i poked at it for
a while this afternoon with no luck (other than managing to 'create' a
new tape device not associated with my library that i can't delete.)
any suggestions gratefully received.
