I use this for recovery reports during SAS-70 audits.

cd /nsr/logs
egrep 'starting read|done reading' daemon.log | grep -v cloning

Pipe to tail or use older logs as needed.  Also, this is a pre-'nsrrenderlog' 
setup, but it would be about the same.
