We are running under Solaris 10 Generic_127111-11 SUNW,Sun-Fire-T2000.
Until recently, I had a Qualstar 46120, Qualstar 412600 and a XLS
connected and running. The 412600 finally broke, so I migrated from
it to the XLS. Are your tape devices on the same bus and showing up
in /dev?

I upgraded my Sun-based EMC Networker server from Solaris 9 to Solaris 10 and
suddenly the Qualstar TLS-8222 tape library/jukebox (LVD copper scsi attached)
was no longer visible.
If I revert back to Solaris 9 then the tape jukebox works just fine.
Yes, a boot -r or touch /recofigure + reboot was performed.
At the boot prom "ok" prompt, the Qualstar TLS-8222 shows up under a
"probe-scsi-all" command, so it is certainly recognized at that level.
The networker "inquire" command (scans for scsi devices) shows the jukebox
missing under Solaris 10, but present under Solaris 9.
Per Sun support, I tried the devfsadm -Cvi sgen command to cause the device
tables to be rebuilt; they say that should result in a /dev/scsi/changer
directory being created, but it does not exist.
Question: Can anyone confirm that they have Qualstar jukebox hardware that is
working under Solaris 10?
I have a support ticket open with Qualstar to confirm operation of their
jukeboxes with Solaris 10.
Thanks,
