restore to a different hard drive or use a different tape drive?
i've tried the different tape drive with the same results, pretty
sure restoring to a different hard disk would not make much
difference ........ are there any utilities that read the tape
directly? i've seen some people recommending cloning the suspect
saveset and trying to restore from the clone but no one has ever
posted a response that the clone trick works?
Your other option is to use scanner + uasm to recover --- if it's a
standard filesystem backup (i.e., not so useful for database backups,
system savesets, etc.)
