I have deleted and re-created the library.  I tried that last week I believe.  
I don't think I have the bar-code feature enabled because we aren't using 
bar-codes on the tapes.  Would that be why I need to inventory the tapes each 
time I insert them?  I logged a call with EMC tech support over this issue and 
after spending hours on the phone, the tech seemed to think there was an issue 
with the Autoloader and suggested I call Dell Tech Support which I did.  Dell 
Tech support upgraded the firmware and said "that should take care of it!"  

So, we'll see if it does.
