First of what version and platform are u running on ?

I have had similar things with our networker 7.12 version
This was because the system account was missing in the security tab so check 
this

Does the backup log not show files that could not be backed up cos they were in 
use ?

Could it be that the files not being backed up are files mentioned in a 
directive ?

Hi,
We have an application called PI which is installed on windows 2000 server. We 
always take a full backup and sumdays incremental too. But we have an issue. We 
get the logs saying that backup has completed successfully. But there is an 
archive folder for the PI application in 1 of the drives. We see that some of 
the files are missing from this archive folder when we try to restore from 
backup. We dont know why this is happening. I tried backing up the file only 
which was missing from the backup. But then it shows succesully backed up. But 
again while looking through the networker user program , iam not able to see 
the same file which was backed up. 

Dont know what to do regarding this ? Because this is happening for me the 
first time. Any ideas why this is happening ?

ur suggestions wud be valuable ?
