Hallo,

I have the followings issues , at the migration from an EBS Server to another :

1) at the nsrck -L7 execution in the target server to restore the client
indexes , i get :

nsrck: checking index for 'aaaa'
9343:nsrck: The file index for client 'aaaa' will be
recovered.9348:nsrck: The index recovery for 'aaaa'
failed.39078:nsrck: File index error: can't find index backups for
'aaaa' on server 'bbbb'

The first restore is working but the other no. We found that a rewind
 the index-tape has brought :
# mt -f /dev/rmt/0cbn rewind
# nsrck -v -L7 aaaa
nsrck: checking index for 'aaaa'
9343:nsrck: The file index for client 'aaaa' will be
recovered.Total estimated disk space needed for recover is 7358 KB.
Recovering 115 files within / into /nsr/index/aaaa/db6/tmprecov
./nsr/index/aaaa/db6/4a2f0000/4a2ff61d.rec
./nsr/index/aaaa/db6/4a2f0000/4a2ff622.rec
.
.
.
wE make the restore for the each client wit this scrip :

# for client in ....some clients list........; do echo $client; mt -f
/dev/rmt/0cbn
rewind; sleep 1; nsrck -L7 $client; done
client_a
nsrck: checking index for 'client_a'
9343:nsrck: The file index for client 'client_a' will be
recovered.Recover completion time: June 11, 2009 8:38:15 PM CEST
nsrck: /nsr/index/client_a contains 0 records occupying 0 KB
nsrck: Completed checking 1 client(s)
client_b
nsrck: checking index for 'client_b'
9343:nsrck: The file index for client 'client_b' will be
recovered.Recover completion time: June 11, 2009 8:38:41 PM CEST
nsrck: /nsr/index/client_b contains 143803 records occupying 18 MB
nsrck: Completed checking 1 client(s)
.
.

it works for some but we have still errors
It could be possible that the indexes were not right save with the savegrp -f
full -O -G group (other default, but media-pool destination was modified)

Thanks a lot..

Best regards
Claude Angeloz
