Sun's recommended solution for mySQL is Zmanda. I have a solution where I
use Zmanda to control the snapshot of the database using lvm on Linux, and
then use NetWorker to perform the backup. I basically integrated Zmanda in
with NetWorker by using savepnpc.

Works well :-)

Hope that helps

Siobhan

Hallo olafur,

rawasm can read from and write to pipes. But I don't know
of any backup solution. You would have to script your own
solution based on rawasm and pipes.
