I don`t know if this woman can help you or not but this was the response
we received.

Hello Jay,

The IB can only do the move of the equipment in the system. You would
need to contact Track Customer Master regarding the activity of the old
sites. They may be able to mark them so people will not use them but as
far as I know they will not de-activate or delete sites from the system.

Alissa, why is it when I go to User Content Preferences: Support that is
still see and have the option to select sites 3676402 and 4287868? I
thought and had hoped that these would no longer be available..

I went through this late last year, when I was doing research for my
7.4.4 upgrade. They had Southeaster Louisiana University information
for me (I'm at the LSU Health Sciences Center) not even close - I will
give them that both places have Louisiana in the name, but we aren't
even in the same city.

It took multiple phone calls, and multiple emails. If I can find a
phone number when I go into the office tomorrow, I will post it. Once
I yelled and screamed enough (and that's what it took), they finally
told me what happened.

In a brilliant move that only Dilbert could do justice to - they (EMC
Powerlink) decided to use the Dunn and Bradstreet listing to do a
hierarchy of all of their customers. Somehow we ended up as
Southeastern Louisiana - when I asked how that could happen, they had no
clue.

Good luck with it.

I don't know what it is, but it appears to be impossible to get the
amusingly named "Powerlink" to have the correct information. I tried to
get someone to fix it a year ago, but apparently to no avail.

I just talked to a person in licensing who told me to email them (she
refused to give me a phone number to call) with "the information" and
they would fix it, it's "complicated". So I emailed licensing and
support inforamtion with my actual LAC, contact information HOSTID as
well as the email from them last year. I don't know if it will get
fixed. I tried calling the Powerlink people (number given to me by sales
person) but they just transferred be back to sales (!).

I'm wondering if anyone has a useful phone number to call at EMC to get
Powerlink information fixed (I've *never* been able to get my
enablers/activation codes through Powerlink, and I've been a Networker
owner since version 4...).

Unbelievably frustrating. As if the whole java version nonsense wasn't
frustrating enough...
