Re: [Networker] Saveset backup works in a group and not in another, why? [SOLVED]

Hi everybody,
We've found the problem.
As we can't backup the saveset /home2 we've tried to copy all the files
to another disk (using 'cp' command). And after a while of copying files
the 'cp' command was killed by the OS. We did the copy again with "-v"
to see what's happening and ... voilà! The command was killed while
trying to copy a big, big file. But a strange one!
The size of the file was (as per "ls -l") in the order of thousands of
terabytes! Yes terabytes! But "du -k" and the quota of the user in this
directory said that this was impossible (the quota is only 200MB). We've
discovered that this directory belongs to an student that has some C
programs in the same directory like "mycp.c" and similar. The code does
some kind of read/write system calls.
As this big file was created in November, 2008 and this file has been
backed up without problems since this date we suppose that one of the
latest OS patches is related to some file/directory problems in OpenSuse
and, because this, the file can't be accessed anymore. We're now
investigating all the latest patches installed in the past days.
Thank you very much for your answers.
PS: By the way, we will investigate the update to 7.4.4 for the benefice
of the virtual machines licenses.

Hi again,
Sorry, client and server versions are 7.4.2.
Now reading the release notes for 7.4.4 to see if this kind of
problems have been solved ;-(
Now that you've provided that info -- yes, there were issues with
nsrjobd in 7.4.2 which were fixed (for most of us, but not all, IIRC) in
7.4.3. You should have better experiences with 7.4.4 (although it has
its own set of issues as I and others have been discussing on the list).
