The persistent binding is set to Yes in the SANsurfer for the HBA's but

The Reserve/ Release attribute under the device's property has been set to none.

Do i have to modify it and select persistent instead of none when persistent
binding is enabled for the HBAs @ host ?

I also found that Networker release prior to 7.4 SP2 doesn't support persistent
binding configuration.

Is it mandatory to have persistent enabled for both the HBA's and in the
windows registry ?

I could see the messages about the tape drive being automatically disabled ( in
the service mode because of errors)

How do I look for SCSI specific errors ( bus resets ) on Windows server ?
