However, I still experience stan's support woes at times, which can be
slow as treacle. I have to open a Sun case - which in turn can become
a Legato (now EMC) RFE or bug case. But on balance I've been happy.
Yep. For a while there, I got to 'know' a few of Sun's support engineers,
but those late night phone visits have diminished since the 6.x days. I,
for one, don't miss WISS errors... :-)
We originally bought from Digital, and converted to Legato when Digital
quit reselling NetWorker. I have the same experiences getting to know
engineers at DECWest and then later at Legato. Surprisingly, I don't
recall us ever having the dreaded WISS errors, but we had plenty of other
big issues over the years. 7.2 and 7.4 (we skipped 7.3 based on what we
heard on the list) have been the only two "series" releases where we've
upgraded and not had some relatively major new problem. I'm hoping that
trend continues.
