Hi Fazil.
None of the possible recommended actions were successful. So, I tried a non
compliance solution: copy the nsr\res file from another client (that was
working)to the others and ... It works.
Thanks again.

Hello,
Are there any firewall involved ? have you checked for reverse lookup , name
resolution with short and FQDN,rpcinfo & Log files for additional errors ?
Can you initiate backup with more verbose logging, from the server & client ?

RES: [Networker] Backup failed
Thanks Fazil, but it does not work.
DNS lookups were already checked too. Adding the server name to the alias list
on the clients was unsuccessful too.
Regards.

Hello,
Is it possible your DNS lookups still have reference for any old entries, if
not, you may need to look into adding "bzrjontupbkup2" to the alias list on the
client that is failing ( if "bzrjontupbkup2" is indeed an valid alias for the
failing client) HTH

Backup failed
Hi all.
I need an urgent help.
I'm trying to backup some files from three different virtual machines
(clients) - 2 Win2003 and 1 Win2000 - and getting the following error messages
for all clients:
nsrexec: NetWorker server `bzrjontupbkup2' is not in the servers file for the
NetWorker client `bzrjontcustom10'
* bzrjontcustom10:D:\ 11/11/08 10:02:29 nsrexec: SYSTEM error: Permission denied
I've checked the servers file on each client and that's OK. I've uninstalled
and installed Networker client for each client, check the servers file, restart
Networker services. It looks like has nothing more to do but the problem
persists.
My server is a Win2003 running Networker 7.2.1
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
