System upgrades on our Mac & Linux desktops, which included upgrades of the

Vendor: EMC Corporation
Category: Unexpected Error
Undefined product taskbar: Please clear the Java Web Start cache and relaunch
the application
Of course we clear the cache and get the same thing. Anybody else having this
problem? Is there a solution other than going to a different version of JRE?
I have a case open with EMC, but this will probably drag on for weeks/months
I had exactly this problem after upgrading Java on my Sun workstation
to 1.6.0_x as part of patching. I reverted to 1.5.0_13 and I was
OK again. I rearranged the /usr/java symlinks to get my selected
Java. I wonder if there's a way to set JAVA_HOME for NMC applets
so we can run our own instance?

I'm struggling with Java (in)compatibility at the moment because of this
set-up - The NMC has to be 7.3.3. to match the Storage Node and Client

Java 5 should work with the NMC from NetWorker 7.3.3. Java 6 won't, as you
have discovered.
Later versions of NetWorker will work with Java 6, I think 7.4.2 is
probably the first version to work with Java 6, although it could be 7.4.3.
