If it isn't broke don't fix it, is also my approach... tied with the
mindset "at least I know the issues and how to deal with them". But
alas 7.2.2 was long in the tooth and unsupported, so here I am learning
to deal w/ a new set of issues. :-)

Mind sharing the script that actually shuts down networker? I've
noticed it is hit or miss whether or not it'll shutdown all the
processes.

Thanks!

Joel

That cinches it for me, no updates for me until these issues with 7.4.3
are
resolved. I am running NetWorker 7.4.1 on Solaris 10 on one of my two
NetWorker servers. The biggest problem I have is that 7.4.1 won't shut
down.
Fortunately, EMC sent me a shut down script that does work.

I am also running a NetWorker 7.4.2 server on Red Hat Linux AS 4.5. It
works
well, so I am not inclined to update it any time soon. I am a big fan of
the
approach that if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

Thanks for the info.
