Bad tape? Try a new blank tape.
Is cleaning light on? If so use a cleaning tape, make sure cleaning
tape is not expired (20 passes only)
Bad Drive? Do you have a second drive to try? Do you have a
maintenance contract under which you can get the drive replaced?
OS problem - on windows two common issues we see on this mailing list -
1. RMM service is on - the removable media manager can interfere in
operation of legato. 2. block size issues - the tape you are writing
to my have been written on another host at a bigger block size than your
windows server is configured to support - this would also be remedied by
using new tapes.

The tape drive is connected through normal SCSI connection and the
Networker server version used is 7.2. I think its an hardware probs..but
wat if its an os problem. This Networker is running on windows 2000 AS .
So wat os issues it cud be? Cud u comment ?
