Can you include file names using wild cards in the Save Set field in
Client config window? For example, will "c:\files\*2008" include all
files ending with 2008, but exclude those with anything else?
No, that doesn't seem to work.
It looks like the client understands 'all' as a wildcard, but not glob
forms like '*'.
Pretty easy to try with 'savegrp -p' The probe option reports back
the
filesystems that it finds.
Perhaps some carefully setup directives to skip files not matching
*2008 would be the best approach in this case; obviously that means
knowing all the other possible ways in which a file may end, but since
you're talking *2008, I assume you'd be wanting to skip those files
that end in say, *2007, *2006, etc.

Preston.
