i currently have:
     sparc 490
     solaris 5.10
     networker 7.2.2
     3 direct-connected LTO3 drives
     l8500 library w/acsls

and i want to migrate to
     sparc 5240
     solaris 5.10
     networker 7.4.2 (?)
     3 direct-connected LTO3 drives (same ones)
     l8500 library w/acsls (same one)

i've been reading documents, off and on, for a couple of weeks. i've
done this sort of upgrade in the past, but i sense it might be messier
this time. i was tentatively planning on something vaguely like:

   - shut off old server. take backup of /nsr Just In Case
   - start old server; delete drive and library definitions, shut off software
   - take second backup of /nsr and migrate to new server
   - move tape drives from old to new server; do OS stuff to make it
     see them
   - install new version of networker on new server (console will be
on server unless that's a shockingly bad idea....)
   - install license keys
   - configure drives and library

in broad strokes i've done this process before, as far back as version
4.x this time, though, my reading has left me, like other folks who've
posted recently, um, "apprehensive". i have no particular worry about
just fighting with it, but since this is the production system,
backups will be suspended while i fiddle.

does this process seem reasonable? anyone have any Things To Remember
and/or gotchas to share?
