Unfortunately, I already tried your suggestion. That's what I did first because 
the documentation says you
need "NSR_SNAP_TYPE="vss" in the "Application Information". It didn't help.

Hmmm, yeah this is the sort of thing I have been troubling with the 
Sharepoint 2007 stuff.

You need to set "NSR_SNAP_TYPE="vss" in the "Application Information"
tab in the Legato Client config.

Then you might be in snapshot world, just like me :/
