One way to direct indexes to a specific pool (very high level):
Create special group, INDEXES, containing all clients, including the NW
client.
Create a media pool, INDEXES, with the INDEXES group as the only source.
Savegrp -O -l full -G INDEXES
You now have a current bootstrap, and a copy of all your indexes to a
volume attached to the INDEXES pool that you can eject immediately for
DR purposes.

Create a pool called "Bootstrap", and run the bootstrap manually.
savegroup -O full -b Bootstrap
Don't think there's a way to redirect indices to a separate pool from
the
savesets, but I could be wrong.
